Tips to Consider:
Do your research. Many of these buildings have a long history, books written about them, countless reviews and stories of supernatural experiences. The information will make for great conversation on the way to your destination, building the anticipation up for your adventure.
If you really want to get serious about your ghost hunting, invest in the following to bring on your trip:
- Digital temperature gauge – to verify that the “cold spots” aren’t just in your head
- EVP recorder – to record paranormal sounds so that you can listen to them over again
- EMF detector – to detect changes in electromagnetic fields; the higher it is, the more likely you are in the presence of ghosts
- Camera – to photograph rooms; when you look at the photos, make sure to look carefully for orbs and apparitions
- Video camera – to record your experience. You could even leave it on in your room while you’re out to see what goes on after you’ve left
