Spooky Halloween Proposals
by Brettani Shannon

If Halloween is your lover's favorite day of the year, then make this their most memorable yet with a spooky proposal! Check out the ideas below for scary, funny, sweet, and ingenious inspiration.
Inside A Pumpkin
Cut the bottom out of your pumpkin, scoop out the seeds and goop, stick the box with the ring inside, and replace the bottom piece (glue works wonders at this point.) When the two of you open the top to carve it, she'll find the ring!
Carved in a Jack-o-Lantern
Carve your proposal into a pumpkin and invite her over for a Halloween party for two. When she arrives, she'll see you sitting on the porch, ring in hand, next to the proposal-o-lantern.
One Word At A Time
Carve one word of your proposal into each pumpkin and set them in sequence at your neighbor's homes. Bring her trick-or-treating and have a ring waiting for when she puts it together.
Grown Into A Pumpkin
If you plan far enough ahead (even September is not too late), you can scrape the words into a pumpkin that is growing and when it's ripe, you'll see the words grown into the pumpkin. If you don't have your own garden, give a pumpkin patch a call. Who wouldn't want to be a part of your special engagement day?
On Bended Knee
Take her to a pumpkin patch and when you bend down to check out a pumpkin, propose instead.
On A Hay Ride
Such a romantic autumn thing to do! Cuddled under a blanket, propose to her by whispering in her ear and slipping a ring on her finger.
In A Cemetery
Plan a scary walk or midnight picnic in a cemetery. Have the ring in a box waiting on a headstone or propose after the picnic.
The Ultimate Accessory
Slip onto one knee and tell her “there's one thing your costume that's missing.” Pull the ring out and slip it on to her finger to complete the outfit.
For The Amazingly Creative
Throw a murder mystery party and make your proposal part of the agenda!
Play The Part
Dress up like Don Juan or Casanova and play the part up making your proposal part of your act.
Trick or Treat
Arrange for one of your neighbors to present the ring to your love as their "treat." Once they get it, propose right there on the porch.
Don't Be Frightened – It's A Proposal
Partner up with a friend who is having a haunted house and be sitting on one knee with a ring when she goes through. Propose in your scariest of haunted house voices.
