Re-use candy or cookie tins with lids for this project. Tins can be purchased at thrift stores, or already filled with cookies at drug stores.

Paint any shape tin with a medium to dark color base.

Designs will be painted with contrasting colors or metallic paints.

Scetch your designs in pencil on the pre-painted tin, then, paint.

Write a love poem, recipe or ingredients on the inside of the tin lid with a metallic ink pen.

Outside use the metallic ink pen to write a few words, draw accents and outline your painted designs.

First, seal and air-tighten your homemade cookies or candy inside a plastic bag before placing inside the tin to keep fresh.
