I've dated this guy on and off for a year now. Over this time, I have fallen in love with him. The only thing is that now that my feelings are so strong for him, he is seeing someone else. He tells me that he has feelings for me, but he can't choose between the two. Am I to wait for what I believe is true love or move on and possibly miss out on my soul mate? -Helplessly In Love
Dear Helplessly In Love,
I am under the firm belief that if you truly were a soul mate, neither partner would want to be with another person. I couldn't imagine being with anyone else other than my husband. He completes me in a way no one else could. You've known each other on a romantic level for a least a year. If real feelings were to develop, they'd probably have developed by now. What I would do in this situation is make sure I wasn't limiting my chances with others by waiting for this guy to decide. I would keep him in the back of my mind in case something sparked. But, if you diligently hang on to someone who doesn't share the same interest, you're missing out on opportunities to meet someone who will share your feelings.
With Love,
