I have been in my relationship with this man for eight months, and I am in love with him. But, my question or concern is when I say to him, "I love you." There is nothing -- just silence. I don't care if he doesn't say it back, however, something kind or caring stated back would be appreciated. What is the problem? What should I do? After eight months I'd imagine he would have some type of feelings for you. If not, this may be a good indicator of where the relationship is, or in this case isn't heading. If you haven't talked to him about how you're feeling about his lack of expression, I would do that, and quickly. Being in a relationship that is one-sided emotionally can be very damaging. Take a good look at the situation you're in, and see if this is really what you want from a relationship. You may discover the grass may truly be greener on the other side.
