We're both in the Air Force, I'm stationed in CO, and he's in WA. However, he was deployed in Afghanistan. We talked through email almost every day. However, after he came back from a week in combat, we started to get into small arguments almost daily. He's coming home soon, but I am unsure of how to act around him anymore. I really care about him; however I am questioning his feelings towards me. I don't know if I should give him some space after he comes back, or if I should confront him about it. Please help. -Clueless About His Feelings
Dear Clueless About His Feelings,
I would just relax and take things at his cue. Being in combat is extremely difficult for many to take. Your arguments could be stemmed from anything. Most likely they aren't even about what you are arguing about. Be the bigger person and give him a chance to get back to his daily life without aggravation. Remember, it always takes two to argue. When he does come back, give him a card letting him know you missed him and are looking forward to spending time with him. If he acts like nothing is wrong, then just let the e-mail history drop. If he doesn't want to spend as much time with you as before, I think you can take the hint about his feelings.
