I've been going out with this guy for the past eight months. We went to the same college, but he was an international student, although we always wanted it to work. Now, he has gone over to New Zealand to do his Masters. He still mails and calls me. We still want things to work out, but I don't know how to share my feelings with him. I love him so much, but I get too nervous to tell him. What do I do? How do I tell him how I feel? -International Lover
Dear International Lover,
You're not going to win the big prize by holding back. It isn't really fair to yourself or your boyfriend to hinder your relationship because of insecurity. If you want to get what you want, you just need to go for it. Even if the relationship doesn't work out in the future, at least you'll know you gave it your all AND that you are capable of loving that much, and know how to show it. Long distance relationships are a little more work than others, but the rewards more than make up for the effort. You'll find a couple that has gone through a distance separation has an inner strength other couples don't usually have to draw from. But, the most important aspect of a long distance relationship is communication because it is one of the only ways to convey how you are feeling about each other. So, don't be nervous, just let him know how you feel.
With Love,
