I have a friend overseas whom I haven't spoken to in months. My e-mails that I send her are unreturned and my long distance phone calls are to her mother, who claims that she is just never around and that she is incredibly busy. I really care for this girl; I think we would make a great couple, since we have hung out on many occasions. Unfortunately she lives thousands of miles away and I haven't been able to reach her. I've spent days thinking of her and the possibility of us meeting again in the future. However, my friends keep telling me to forget about her. I would, except that I think this girl is too perfect for me to do that. What's a single guy to do? -Unrequited Loving

Dear Unrequited Loving,
Love isn't a one-way street. To be real it has to be returned. No matter how busy she may be, a person can typically find enough time to at least return an e-mail. In my opinion, I would let this catch go. You are not going to be compatible with only one person. I think it may be time to turn your attention to the other fish in the sea.
