Online relationships are the ultimate test in faith and trust in a person. For this reason alone, jealousy is often something online couples have to deal with at one point or another. More than often you'll find the jealousy is the source of an insecurity you, or your partner may need to deal with. If the green-eyed monster has bitten you, try a few of the suggestions below to gain a new perspective on your situation.

Get busy!
If you've got time to be jealous, you've got too much time on your hands! Find a new interest, develop a new hobby or finish some uncompleted projects. When your mind is idle it needs things to keep it entertained. Don't let stories or gossip about your partner be your source of entertainment.

Are your fears warranted?
Is your online love actually doing things that should make you jealous? Make a list of the suspicious behavior. How real are the things listed, and how many do you feel could be imagined? If you're feeling jealous of their online activities, make sure it's not just because you feel left out.

Increase your self-worth.
Jealousy is often present when we feel bad or self-conscious about ourselves. Do something to make you feel better about who you are. Get a new hairstyle, buy new clothes, or learn a new skill. Don't let your insecurities get in the way of a good relationship.

Make enough time for real conversations.
If you don't know what's going on in your partner's life, or vice versa it is easy to let your mind wander. Make sure you talk to each other about your dreams, what's going on in your life and things you want to do as a couple. The more you feel you know your partner, the less likely you will be to feel jealous.
