Red Carpet Mastermind
This style force, who was recently named one of the most powerful stylists by The Hollywood Reporter, is responsible for anything and everything to do with getting our favorite celebs red carpet-ready.
We catch up with the stylist for inside tips on what you need in your closet right now, what items to really splurge on and how you too can emulate your favorite celeb.
SheKnows: What are your favorite spring/summer trends that women should incorporate into their everyday wardrobes?
Fremar: Bold prints, reds and turquoises and pumps (I love that round toe shoes and platforms are secondary to traditional pointy toe pumps — nude is a great color for spring).
SheKnows: What are five pieces every woman should always have in her closet?
Fremar: Black blazer, black pumps, pencil skirt, pair of great fitting jeans and a white button down shirt.
SheKnows: If someone were to splurge on one key item, what would it be?
Fremar: I like to splurge on handbags. A handbag really can elevate any outfit. For example, if you are wearing black jeans and a black tee, a great bag can change your look. Also, an amazing bag can be worn every day.
SheKnows: You have a new line with Fruit of the Loom, which includes luxe basics. What is the easiest way to accessorize a little black dress?
Fremar: Great shoes — they really make the outfit. Depending on your mood, you can wear heavy black shoes to add a little edge, nude shoes to elongate the leg or colorful shoes to make a statement.
SheKnows: Who are your favorite designers?
Fremar: I don’t really have a favorite because I have a strong appreciation for the craft, and each has a different aesthetic. But I personally buy Dries Van Noten, Marni and The Row. I also think brands like Band of Outsiders and Rag and Bone do a great job.
SheKnows: How can everyday women steal that top celebrity look?
Fremar: I think the most important thing to remember when getting dressed — and I apply this to all of my fittings — is to find clothes that work for your body type and forget about the trends. Not all trends work on all women.
