Flattering Makeup Shades For Brunettes

Pink blush
Blush is a great way to get pretty instantly, and pinkish blushes tend to make cheeks glow. Pink blush looks good on just about everyone, especially brunettes. Blend a bit into pale cheeks for a quick pop of color or brighten up a tan with a few brushes across the apples of your cheeks. This color works especially well for brunettes with light eyes such as gray, blue or green, bringing out those bright peepers.
Neutral shades
Enhance your brunette locks with natural-looking colors. Accentuate eyes with a mid-shade of brown eyeshadow along your crease, or just sweep a swath a few shades darker than your natural skin color across your lids. Follow up with a neutral nude lip.
Red lips
Red lipstick was made for brunettes. Other hair colors might make bright-red lips look cartoony or clownish, but dark hair in contrast to red lips is a classy, sophisticated way to spice up your makeup routine. Make sure to line those lips with a similar shade to make your stunning smooch stay in place.
Purples and plums
There’s something springy and whimsical about brown on purple. Bring out any shade of eye with a shade of purple or plum on cheeks, eyes and lips. Be careful not to go overboard, though. Concentrate high-pigment colors on one section of your face to avoid looking overdone.
Dark lines
Go all out with deep, dark shades of eyeliners. Deep purples, greens, blues, grays and blacks achieve a dramatic, sultry look. Finish it off with a deep shade of black mascara.
